What Shapes the Work Here

Written Intake Record

Every watch arrives with a condition note. Every part touched during bench work is logged. You receive a stamped card when the watch is returned.

Pressure-Tested Results

Water resistance work is not complete without a printout showing the figures the case reached. We provide that document with every gasket service.

Clear Time Estimates

Scope is discussed at intake and confirmed in writing. You know the working-day count before we begin, and we contact you if anything changes.

George Town Workshop

A single bench on Jalan Burma. Walk-in and appointment enquiries are both welcome. The person who takes your watch is the person who works on it.

Photography Before Work Begins

Dial archive projects include high-resolution photography of the piece before it leaves. The record belongs to you as part of the archival folder.

Tropical Climate Awareness

Penang's humidity places specific demands on gaskets and lubricants. Care notes issued with each service reflect local wearing conditions, not generic guidelines.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

How do I bring my watch in for an assessment? +
You can walk in during working hours or send an enquiry through the contact form below. For valuable or complex pieces we recommend calling ahead so we can allocate time at the bench without rushing the intake conversation.
Do you work on both vintage and current-production movements? +
Yes. The overhaul service covers rotor-driven calibres across a wide production range. Vintage movements are assessed individually — some parts require sourcing time, which we discuss openly at intake before confirming scope.
What does the pressure test printout include? +
The printout records the pressure figures reached during both dry and wet testing, alongside the depth rating stamped on your case. It is a reference document you keep — useful for insurance records or when deciding whether to wear the watch in water again.
How long does the dial refinishing project take? +
The dial archive project runs between 10 and 14 weeks, depending on the refinishing workshop schedule and any discussion needed over the comparison samples. The case and movement service is performed here while the dial is away, so the total handover is a single event.
Are the prices on the solutions page all-inclusive? +
The listed prices cover the scope described for each service. If worn reversers or a damaged crown tube require replacement parts, we quote the additional cost separately and confirm your agreement before proceeding.
How is my watch handled while it is at the bench? +
The watch is held on the bench in a padded tray with its intake card. It is not passed between technicians. The bench record is updated each working session. You may call to request a status note at any point during the service period.
